Francisco Marcalla, el pionero del comercio en Pallatanga. Una interpretación desde la memoria colectiva.

The main objective of this research is the reconstruction of the history of Francisco Marcalla, through the interpretation of the collective memory of the relatives in Pallatanga town, information which is necessary and important to know firsthand the formation and development of trade within the town, being a field research and living in the sector facilitates the work of obtaining data, in addition we coin bibliographic compilations that speak of Francisco Marcalla as an illustrious character. On the other hand, one of the main objectives is to highlight the character as a person dedicated to his town, intelligent and well educated through detailed testimonies, then, to know the reason for the current name of the city market "Francisco Marcalla" highlighting his influence in the sector. During the research project a purely qualitative approach was used where the information gathered was given using interviews with the inhabitants and questionnaires of questions, after a careful choice of people interviewed being neighbors and family the main sector of focus to know the history of Franciscos Marcalla, this allowed obtaining the analysis of the people through individual and collective memory. In conclusion, Francisco Marcalla was a promoter and manager of commerce in Pallatanga, a person remembered as illustrious, who helped create and generate commerce in Pallatanga town. ; La presente investigación tiene como objetivo primordial la reconstrucción de la historia de Francisco Marcalla, a través de la interpretación de la memoria colectiva de los allegados en el cantón de Pallatanga, información la cual es necesaria e importante para conocer de primera fila la formación y desarrollo del comercio dentro del cantón, al ser una investigación de campo y vivir en el sector se facilita el trabajo de obtención de datos, además acuñamos recopilaciones bibliográficas que hablan de Francisco Marcalla como personaje ilustre.
