      The present study is the result of the analysis of the Agronomy course of the Federal University of the Pelotas, called Agronomy College Eliseu Maciel, and aimed to investigate the environmental dimension within this training. The Pedagogical Project of Course was analyzed and the environmental themes included in the contents and disseminated by the disciplines to which they apply. The choice of this theme was due to the interventions made by the agronomic area in the environment and by the need of the academics, in addressing the environmental dimension and environmental education as part of their professionalism. Another question present in this research is related to interdisciplinarity, whether or not it occurred, in relation to its materials applied in the course. The research is of a qualitative descriptive nature, being the data obtained by the case study, which characterizes an empirical investigation of the scenario. The data for the study were performed by analyzing documentar content, by bibliographic research, through interviews, between the researcher and the volunteer students. The collected data were analyzed along with the documentation raised and with the theoretical framework that served as a basis for the search of the object that presented, within the 61 mandatory disciplines and 68 optative disciplines offered, environmental issues in 13 mandatory disciplines and eight elective disciplines, being five mandatory disciplines that contemplate the normative environmental education. For the volunteer students of the research, the issues inherent to the environmental dimension were superficially connected to their theoretical and practical foundations and, the environmental sustainability, was in favour of production technique, not emphasizing environmental education as essential to the formation process for the graduate to FAEM. The interdisciplinarity as a teaching application was deficient, seen only in some projects worked in group and dependents on prerequisite for the evolution of learning. ...
