DIFFICULTIES AND CHALLENGES IN THE INTEGRATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHER TRAINING - CASE STUDIES IN PORTUGAL ; LAS DIFICULTADES Y LOS DESAFÍOS EN LA INTEGRACIÓN DE LAS TECNOLOGÍAS DIGITALES EN LA FORMACIÓN DOCENTE - ESTUDIOS DE CASO EN PORTUGAL ; DIFICULDADES E DESAFIOS NA INTEGRAÇÃO DAS TECNOLOGIAS DIGITAIS NA FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES – ESTUDOS DE CASO EM PORTUGAL

The contemporary digital revolution, along with the global economy, has brought new horizons and challenges to education, in particular, the need to build and develop new skills and a digital culture in an educational context. The integration of digital technologies in the teacher training process presents several difficulties and constraints, as well as challenges that call for reflection. Using a multiple case study methodology, two teacher training processes were analysed: one in a pre-service training course and the other in an in-service teacher training project. The results highlighted the importance of the relationship between the educational integration of digital technologies and the need to use active pedagogical methodologies and techniques. The main difficulties identified were lack of time, a limited view of the teaching potential of the technologies, and resistance to change, and a lack of technological equipment and technical support. Herein lie the fundamental challenges in training effective teachers to work with the pedagogical integration of digital technologies. ; La revolución digital contemporánea, junto a la economía global, ha traído nuevos horizontes y desafíos a la educación, en particular la necesidad de construir y desarrollar nuevas competencias y una cultura digital en un contexto educativo. La integración de las tecnologías digitales en el proceso de formación de profesores presenta diversas dificultades y limitaciones y, a su vez, retos sobre los cuales es importante reflexionar. Utilizando una metodología de estudio de casos múltiples se analizaron dos procesos de formación de profesores, un caso en un curso de formación inicial y otro en un proyecto de formación continuada de profesores.Los resultados subrayaron la importancia de la relación entre la integración educativa de las tecnologías digitales y la necesidad de utilizar metodologías y técnicas pedagógicas activas.
