Challenges that Active and Assisted Living Programme research projects working on digital solutions for older adults need to be aware of

This study wished to describe some of the challenges that AAL projects may face when designing digital solutions aimed for the evaluation of older adults health issues. With regard to neuropsychological evaluation, special attention needs to be given when wishing to digitalise pen-and paper tests, as several drawbacks have been highlighted in the literature. Not all tests are created equal, it may be easier, and less likely to conceptually change a test when digitalising a test that is based on self-report, compared to evaluations that would normally require a clinician to rate them.
