Objective: To identify the profile and associated factors of pregnant women who died from COVID-19 in the Northeast region between 2021-2022. Methodology: Cross-sectional, descriptive study with a quantitative approach, which analyzed the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Database of the Influenza Epidemiological Surveillance Information System (SIVEP) provided by the database of the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). The study consists of analyzing the profile of pregnant women infected with COVID-19 and the factors associated with maternal death from severe acute respiratory syndrome in the Northeast region for the period from January 1, 2021 to March 15, 2022. Results: We recorded 1406 cases of SARS by COVID-19 in pregnant women in the northeast region, of which 120 evolved to death. The maternal death rate was 8.53% when compared to the total number of pregnant women with SARS due to COVID-19. The highest incidence was in women aged between 25 and 34 years, with a predominance of the third trimester of pregnancy in 54.2% of the sample. In the regional distribution, Ceará was the state that presented the highest number of notifications, with 29 registered deaths. The main clinical manifestations were cough and dyspnea. Among the risk factors, the most frequent comorbidities in this population were chronic cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. As for hospitalization, 93 of the 120 pregnant women were admitted to the ICU, and the use of invasive ventilatory support was necessary in 69.2% of the patients and non-invasive in 24.2%. Conclusion: A maternal mortality profile was identified in pregnant women in the third trimester, especially when associated with the presence of comorbidities, with cough and dyspnea as the main symptoms. In addition, it was found that a significant portion evolved more severely, requiring hospitalization in the ICU and most of them with the use of invasive ventilatory support ; Objetivo: Identificar o perfil e os fatores associados das gestantes ...
