The Habermasian Axial Era and the Noahide Code: Two views on the Universal Message of Judaism ; La Era Axial habermasiana y el código noájico: dos ópticas del mensaje universal del judaísmo

The most recent work by Jürgen Habermas tries to revalue religion in today’s society. For this he tries to find genealogical connections between secular content and the worldviews that emerged in the Axial Age, including Jewish monotheism. In this article we try to propose that a genealogical approach to monotheism from the perspective of those involved would have to start from the context of undetected origin that constitutes the ethical universalism of Judaism: the Noahide code. To do this, we analyze narrative and conceptual elements of axial and non-axial cultures and show their parallels with the seven laws of the children of Noah as the moral core of humanity. ; La más reciente obra de Jürgen Habermas intenta revalorar la religión en la sociedad actual. Para esto trata de encontrar conexiones genealógicas entre los contenidos seculares y las cosmovisiones surgidas en la Era Axial, entre ellas el monoteísmo judío. En el presente artículo intentamos proponer que un abordaje genealógico del monoteísmo desde la perspectiva de los involucrados tendría que partir del contexto de origen no detectado que constituye el universalismo ético del judaísmo: el código noájico. Para ello analizamos elementos narrativos y conceptuales de culturas axiales y no axiales y evidenciamos sus paralelismos con las siete leyes de los hijos de Noé como núcleo moral de la humanidad.
