Descrição do perfil do Tachigali vulgaris em plantios homogêneos em diferentes espaçamentos

Tachigali vulgaris L. G. Silva & H. C. Lima is a species that occurs in several Brazilian biomes that, due to its technological, ecological and silvicultural characteristics for the production of charcoal and firewood, has shown strong potential for the expansion of homogeneous plantations for energy purposes in the Amazon. Currently, this species has become the focus of numerous researches due to the scarcity of several essential information. An important piece of information is related to the study of the shape of the shaft. Therefore, the aim of this study was to describe the profile of the shaft of Tachigali vulgaris at different spacings and ages through non-segmented taper functions. The work was carried out in an experimental planting in the district of Monte Dourado, Pará state. The experiment was carried out in a randomized block design, with three blocks, each with six treatments, representing the following planting spacings: T1 (3.0 × 1.5 m); T2 (3.0 × 2.0 m); T3 (3.0 × 2.5 m); T4 (3.0 × 3.0 m); T5 (3.0 × 3.5 m) and T6 (3.0 × 4.0 m). Three trees per treatment in each block and at two ages were cubed in an absolute way, totaling 108 trees. The taper functions evaluated were selected in recent studies considering different species. According to the results, the Bennet and Swindel model was considered as the most adequate in the description of the white tachi stem profile, for all the adjustment conditions. The model identity test demonstrated that a single equation can be used to describe the average profile of Tachigali vulgaris stems at different spacings and at similar ages to this work. ; Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) ; O Tachigali vulgaris L.
