نبذة مختصرة : This article presents an interpretive analysis of contemporary Indigenous poetry, focusing on the work Ay Kakyri Tama: Eu Moro na Cidade (2022) by the writer Márcia Wayna Kambeba, specifically the poems Ay Kakyri Tama, Índio Eu Não Sou, and Território Ancestral. The research seeks to understand how these poems function as expressions that articulate aspects of identity and cultural (re)existence of Indigenous peoples, emphasizing the valorization of ancestral culture and the reaffirmation of Indigenous identity in the face of the challenges of urban diaspora. The methodology adopted has an interpretive character, based on a bibliographic approach that includes relevant theoretical works on Indigenous literature, such as the contributions of Graça Graúna (2013) and Julie Dorrico (2018), which provide theoretical support for the discussion, as well as perspectives from cultural and post-colonial studies. The study explores both the content and stylistic characteristics of the poems, as well as the socio-cultural and historical context in which they are embedded. It concludes that the analyzed poems serve as expressive vehicles of the ancestral voice of the Omágua/Kambeba people, reaffirming the relevance of Indigenous poetry as an artistic, cultural, and political manifestation. The results of this research aim to broaden the understanding of Indigenous poetic production, promoting the valorization of Indigenous voices in contemporary literature and the recognition of ethnic and cultural diversity in urban contexts.
