The regularity was found that oral cancer is more often suspected for older (50.9 percent) respondents with longer work experience (52.5 percent), working in both public and private employment institutions (53.2 percent), with higher university education (45.9 percent) and respondents who work with dentists ( as assistant) and has a dental assistant education (48.5 percent). Oncological vigilance depends on experience and education: those with more work experience examine patients for oncodiagnostic purposes more often (31.3 percent) than those with less experience, of which as many as 41.3 percent states that they examine patients very rarely. Respondents with an university degree inform patients about the risk factors of oral cancer statistically significantly more often (31.8 percent). Respondents’ knowledge of the primary diagnosis of oral cancer in this study is moderate to good, and respondents’ were able to evaluate their knowledge and results revealed that 55.1 percent of respondents overestimate their knowledge. Awareness was compared with demographic indicators: age, city, education, length of service, institution of employment and additional work with dentist. Results revealed that there is no statistically significant association between these factors, although there is a slight but better outcome in those working with the dentist (29.4 percent), with an university degree (24.3 percent), working in both private and public institutions (29 percent) and working in Vilnius city (26.5 percent).
