Introduction: Patients with cardiovascular diseases may have their Quality of Life altered as a result of their health, whether due to their physical or psychological deficiencies. Objective: To evaluate the Quality of Life of patients with cardiovascular diseases admitted to a cardiology referral hospital. Method: Prospective cross-sectional analytical study carried out from April to May 2018 through the application of the Sociodemographic and Clinical Profile questionnaires and the SF-36 Scale “Medical Outcomes Short-form Health Survey”. The sample corresponded to 70 patients interviewed randomly and voluntarily, admitted to the Cardiology Clinic. Results: Of the 70 patients interviewed, 70% (49/70) were male, 32.8% (23/70) were over 70 years of age, 44.3% (31/70) were married and 35 were 7% (25/70) with incomplete primary education. Discussion: Health is a primordial aspect for the individual to be well with him, with life and with society, reacting to problems and controlling his routine. Conclusion: The evaluation of the patients' Quality of Life found that the domains Limitation due to emotional aspects and Limitation due to physical aspects were the most compromised, followed by Limitation due to social aspects. Individuals with less than two years of diagnosis of cardiovascular disease had a better quality of life than patients with a diagnosis of more than three years. ; Introducción: Los pacientes con enfermedades cardiovasculares pueden ver alterada su Calidad de Vida como consecuencia de su estado de salud, ya sea por sus deficiencias físicas o psíquicas.
