The most common comorbid pathology is abdominal obesity. With obesity, there is a disturbance of oxidative processes, when the content of oxidized lipoproteins and nitric oxide changes, which leads to the development of dysfunction of the endothelium. Our purpose is an enhancement of diagnosis of patients with hypertensive disease (HD) and abdominal obesity (AO) based on the study of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOs) and endothelium-dependent vasodilatation indices (EDVI). Materials and methods: Our study enrolled 110 patients who were divided into 3 groups: Group 1: formed by patients with HD (n=26), Group 2 – hypertensive patients suffering from AO (n=54), Group 3 – apparently healthy people (n=30). All patients were classified with due regard to sex and age. The average age was (60 ± 4.5). The diagnosis of HD based on: the Order of Ministry of Health of Ukraine No 384 dated 24/05/2012, Guidelines of European Society of Hypertension and Cardiology for the management of arterial hypertension (2013). AO was diagnosed in accordance with the criteria of clinical protocol in cases of HD in Ukraine (2012). The EDVI of the brachial artery (BA) were calculated by means of O. Celermajer’s method applying ultrasound system (“General Electric”, USA). eNOs level in blood serum was assessed through immunoenzyme method (“Uscscn Life Inc. Wuhan”, China). Our results: the lowest eNOs levels were revealed in Group 1: 295.4±26.6 ng/ml (р<0.05). In Group2 the significant difference of eNOs level in comparison with Group 3 was not detected, that is 323.6±24.5 ng/ml and 431.4±34.2 ng/ml respectively. Direct pair correlational connections between eNOs levels and EDVI BA at different stages of vasodilatation in HD patients with AO and without AO were established: at primary stage d BA: r=0.69 and r=0.77 (p<0.05); within the first minute of decompensation d BA r=0.66 and r=0.87 (p<0.05); within the period of max vasodilatation d BA r=0,78 and r=0.67 (p<0.05) respectively. Conclusions: 1. The increase of the ...
