O uso da auriculoterapia no cuidado a profissionais da onco-hematologia pediátrica

Artigo (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Curso de Especialização em Residência Multiprofissional Integrada em Gestão e Atenção Hospitalar no Sistema Público de Saúde, RS, 2022. ; Introduction: Auriculotherapy is a practice derived from acupuncture, it is characterized by pressure on specific points of the ear, being possible to treat various physical and emotional problems, originating from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Our auricular pavilion consists of a microsystem that has points referring to all parts of our body, it contains great innervation for this, through the application of auricular points we seek to harmonize our organism. Objective: To understand the perception of pediatric onco-hematology professionals about the application of auriculotherapy in self-reported symptoms of anxiety and stress from the perspective of work activity. Methodology: This is a qualitative, descriptive research. The information was obtained through a pre-application interview of five weekly sessions of auriculotherapy, and a post-application interview, with professionals from the pediatric hemato-oncology unit, from August to November 2021. The data were subjected to textual analysis. discursive. Results: Two categories emerged: application of auriculotherapy in the face of anxiety and stress symptoms in the work activity; and reflections of pediatric onco-hematology professionals on auriculotherapy as a health promotion practice. Final Considerations: With the application of auriculotherapy there was a reduction in the symptoms of anxiety and stress in the work activity. It is important to highlight the need for special attention to professionals through technical and psychological support.
