نبذة مختصرة : The objective of this research was to determine the development of psychomotor skills in preschool students of the Educational Unit “Cap. Edmund. Chiriboga. Gonzales.” Psychomotor skills are physical abilities ordered by the brain in response to stimuli from the environment in which the child develops. These are important because they help in the comprehensive development of the child so that he or she has emotional and physical motor performance at an adequate level to meet the demands of the school context. The methodology used was based on a mixed approach, field work and a descriptive scope, the psychometric technique was used together with the preschool psychomotor evaluation known by its acronym EPP, which focuses on different factors that make up the profile. psychomotor such as locomotion, balance, positions, coordination and body scheme, this instrument was applied to 50 preschool children and the results were tabulated in circular graphs. The results were obtained that the vast majority of children are at a normal level in general development of psychomotor skills, likewise in each of the skills the levels that prevail are normal and low, thus noticing the difficulty for carrying out activities that demand coordination of mental structures and the body, thus recommending outdoor activities and the use of teaching materials that help the student's comprehensive development. ; La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el desarrollo de las aptitudes psicomotrices en los estudiantes de preescolar de la Unidad Educativa “Cap. Edmundo. Chiriboga. Gonzáles”.
