نبذة مختصرة : Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan: (1) kualitas pelaksanaan lesson study pada guru IPA, dan (2) peningkatan kemampuan guru IPA menerapkan pendekatan saintifik sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan lesson study. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang guru IPA di SMP Lab Undiksha Singaraja. Objek Penelitian ini adalah kualitas lesson study dan kemampuan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik guru. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) kualitas lesson study berada pada kualifikasi sangat baik; dan 2) terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik guru sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan lesson study. Kata Kunci: lesson study, kemampuan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik. ; ABSTRACT This study aimed to describing: 1) quality of lesson study and 2) improvement of science teachers’ ability to apply scientific approach before and after the implementation of lesson study. The kind of this study was case study. Subject of this study are 3 science teacher at SMP Lab Undiksha Singaraja. Object of this study are quality of lesson study and teachers’ ability to apply scientific approach. The data collected by observation, documentation, and interview. Data of this study analyzed by descriptive. The results of this study show that: 1) quality of lesson study is in very good categorized; and 2) an increase of science teachers’ ability to apply scientific approach before and after the implementation of lesson study.
