      After the 80s, the issues around literacy have been widely discussed in Brazil, causing numerous reflections around the reading and writing process in different situations. The school, in turn, being the of literacy agency, has been challenged to review concepts and actions for mother tongue teaching process, so that students realize the social function of language and participate in communicative situations so satisfactory. To contribute to the improvement of student literacy, this paper aims to analyze the implications of school literacy practices of writing of students young and adults of Elementary School, as of the use of didactic sequence to the teaching of the chronic gender. The intervention's target audience is a group of Elementary School, a state school of Youth and Adult Education, located in the urban area of the municipality of Currais Novos / RN. Methodologically, it is an action research (BOGDAN and BIKLEN, 1994); (GRESLLER, 2003), that is based on qualitative data approach guidelines, (MOREIRA and CALEFFE, 2006) and (STAKE, 2011). Theoretically, the research proposal is emplacements contributions of Literacy Studies (KLEIMAN 1995; 1999; OLIVEIRA, 2011; ROJO, 2009), the Gender Theory of subsidies (BRONCKART, 2003; 2006; MARCUSCHI 2008) as well as support of the studies that deal with the teaching sequence and teacher training (DOLZ; SCHNEUWLY; NOVERRAZ, 2013; FREIRE, 2006; PASSARELLI, 2012). The research showed greater participation of students in reading and writing activities, and the understanding that the writer activity includes stages that require effort, whose recurring practices make the subject more proficient in their use.
