    • نبذة مختصرة :
The question of who and what is a human being as an anthropological question today is important not only for the social future, but for the renewal of the Church as well, witnessing the unconditional worth of a person independently of his abilities, power and utility. Since “the man is the primary route that the Church must travel in fulfilling its mission” (John Paul II, Redemptor hominis, 14), there is a necessity to reflect the long-lasting concept of human being from the perspective of Christian Anthropology. What is the difference between it and the classical philosophical anthropology? Is the biblical concept of a man in itself already Christian? Does the value of human person depend mainly on his intellectual capacities and efforts of will? What does it mean to be created in the image of God and what is it to be in His likeness? These questions are considered in perspectives of historical quests of the Church as well as the insights of Western and Eastern Christianity seeking to discuss these problems and perspectives of the concept of human person – the discoveries that are important for human relations and practice of the Church’s teaching.
