نبذة مختصرة : International audience ; Today, in the space of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), we have seen the rapid multiplication of Islamist terrorist entities, especially after the fall of the Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, in 2011. These entities impose themselves as the main actors and regulators of areas under their control, and despite their Islamist, not to say Islamic, ideology, they maintain close relations with other gangs of organized crime, in particular drug traffickers, weapons, counterfeiting, etc. This Islamist enterprise is fruitful because of the existence of an effective financing challenge favored by the vastness of certain areas, the porosity of the borders and above all the weakness of West African States in the face of security issues that threaten populations, thus limiting the free movement of people and goods in this integrated space.Given this, normative and operational mechanisms are put in place to stop the scourge in the West African zone. But despite the efforts made in the context of this fight, it is mandatory to admit a notorious inefficiency of the planned and developed mechanisms because the Islamist networks still continue to spread their ideologies and their despicable acts of terror.This inevitably pushes us to propose to States and organizations, outlines of solutions which could make it possible to reinforce and improve the mechanisms of fight with the objective of stemming the Islamist phenomenon which, in our era, constitutes a real obstacle freedom of movement of persons and goods within the ECOWAS region. ; Aujourd’hui, dans l’espace de la Communauté Economiques Des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (CEDEAO), on a constaté la multiplication rapide des entités terroristes islamistes, surtout après la chute du guide libyen Mouammar Kadhafi, en 2011.
