      The present dissertation focuses on environmental education, aesthetic education and pedagogical practices through artistic creations, starting from environmental problems related to the significant number of vulnerable dogs in the city of Pelotas, RS, Brazil. Abandonment, uncontrolled procreation and lack of responsible care with dogs generates thousands of them vulnerable, wandering, hungry and sick in the streets. These issues involve the environment, public health and education. In view of this, the following research question arises: how can aesthetic and environmental education contribute to the reflection and sensitization of future teachers of visual arts in relation to the problem of canine vulnerability in the streets of Pelotas? Reflecting on this issue and questioning the relationship between man and dog today, articulating them with environmental education during primary education through aesthetic education and artistic and pedagogical practices are some ways in which this study believes that it can contribute to the formation of a more conscious, active and sensitive society. Still with this thought, we intend to go further. It is believed that it is also important to address this issue in the training of educators, in the case of this research, future teachers of visual arts. For that, several investigative processes were used in addition to bibliographical reviews, creations and educational practices, such as: literary narratives presented as epigraphs, documentary research through journalistic reports and personal e-mails, cases through interviews, artistic creations called as audiovisual poetics and “Playful Infographic” and, finally, application and analysis of the artistic-pedagogical practices with the UFPEL students of the Visual Arts Course. ; Sem bolsa ; A presente dissertação tem como tema a educação ambiental, a educação estética e as práticas pedagógicas através de criações artísticas, partindo da problemática ambiental relacionada à quantidade significativa de cães vulneráveis na ...
