نبذة مختصرة : The proposed study analyzes the activities of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum. The policy of the PRC to expand trade and economic cooperation with the leading economies of the forum, aimed at the development of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) as a whole, is studied. The mechanisms of China’s implementation of the “Bogor Goals” in modern realities are revealed. It was determined that the Chinese leadership continues to pay great attention to commercial and technical cooperation with the APEC economies, creating conditions for increasing the investment attractiveness of its country. After the 2013 APEC summit, China began to implement the Bali Declaration, adopted on the basis of the forum in Indonesia. To do this, the Chinese leadership made adjustments to the educational policy. Recognizing the increasing need for its own highly qualified specialists, the PRC government supports students traveling abroad to study. At the same time, Beijing is promoting the training of foreign students in Chinese universities, increasing in this way attracted financial flows to the country. A similar policy is aimed at increasing the country’s competitiveness, diversifying interaction with the APEC economies, and increasing the welfare of China. The study applied the traditional methods of historical research and modeling methods, which allowed not only to study the development trends of the PRC in the past decade but also to determine the most likely scenario for the expansion of international integration in APEC in the near future.
