The Years of “La Transición” in the Vicente Castellano Paint (1973-1978) ; Los años de “la transición” en la pintura de Vicente Castellano (1973-1978)

The article deals with the series of paintings that the valencian painter Vicente Castellano Giner (Valencia 1927-2014) developed between 1973 and 1980. His production in these years can be divided into three blocks. The first one, El artista diezmado. Homenaje a Lorca (1973-1975), then, Éxodos series (1976-1978) and finally the work Amanecer (1978). Throughout his paintings he can be seen as the artist transmutes the fluctuation of these years with an innovative poetic. His paintings, between figuration and abstraction, full of textures, densities, colors and shapes, show a kind of materials that expanded on the canvases. This materials display a suggestive sensations that bring the viewer to the most tangential side of emotions. ; El artículo versa sobre la serie de pinturas que el pintor valenciano Vicente Castellano Giner (Valencia 1927-2014) desarrolló entre los años 1973 y 1980. Su producción en estos años se puede dividir en torno a tres bloques. El primero de ellos, la serie El artista diezmado. Homenaje a Lorca (1973-1975); seguidamente la serie Éxodos (1976-1978) y finalmente la obra Amanecer (1978). En toda su obra se aprecia como el artista trasmuta la fluctuación de estos años con una poética innovadora. Sus cuadros, a camino entre la figuración y la abstracción, llenos de texturas, densidades, colores y formas, muestran una versatilidad de materiales que, expandidos en los lienzos, despliegan un halo de sugerentes sensaciones que acercan al observador al lado más tangencial de las emociones.
