Physical-sporting activity (PSA) provides positive effects on people’s health (Bauman et al., 2005; Warburton et al., 2006). Its benefits are especially important for populations at risk of social exclusion since the health of these groups tends to be poorer than that of the rest of the population (Morgan et al., 2007; Van Bergen et al., 2018). As is the case, the collective of lesbians, gays, trans, bisexual and intersex people (LGBTI+) tends to present low levels of physical, psychological and social health (Carmel et al.; 2016; Kidd, et al.; 2016; Symons et al., 2017).
