نبذة مختصرة : Trabalho de conclusão de curso (graduação) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Curso Superior de Serviço Social, RS, 2014. ; The present work that consists of a monography (TCC), aims to present and analyze the work of social worker in the municipal health secretariat of the municipality of Restinga Sêca (RS), seeking to highlight especially the area of chemical dependency, from a group of living formed by alcohol addicted users. For both, a theoretical-practical analysis based on experience data experienced in stage required in Social Service in the Municipal Health Secretariat. The main changes that occurred in public health and mental health are coming from health reform movements and psychiatric reform, respectively. The presence of professionals in the social service has contributed in the implementation of the expanded concept of health, seeking the large attendance at health services, facilitating access to social rights of users of the service. Facing this reality, during the probationary period was possible to develop an intervention project, with the audience participating users of a group of chemical dependency in the CRAS of the municipality, where through the mainstreaming of public health policies, it was possible through meetings, workshops, lectures, monitoring/treatment of people who have some kind of mental disorder on the basis of alcohol dependence. ; O presente trabalho, que consiste em um Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (TCC), tem por objetivo apresentar e analisar o trabalho do assistente social na Secretaria Municipal de Saúde do Município de Restinga Sêca (RS), buscando evidenciar especialmente a área da dependência química a partir de um grupo de convivência formado por usuários dependentes de álcool.
