نبذة مختصرة : Artigo (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Curso de Especialização em Gestão Pública Municipal, EaD, RS, 2023. ; This research aimed to analyze the Political Pedagogical Project of the Rural School Coronel Chananeco, located in the second district of the city of São Sepé. The goal of this work was to answer the following question: how to raise the level of family participation in school management? In this sense, it was sought to analyze the Political Pedagogical Project of the school and emphasize the importance of families, teachers and school employees in the actions that take place in the institution for a quality democratic management to effectively occur. Some goals were set in order to achieve the results, such as: describe the profile of the school, identify the main factors that contribute to the participation of families, and what actions are developed throughout the year. This research resulted from an exploratory analysis of the school's PPP. To provide a scientific basis for this research we used the theories of different authors such as: BORSTEL (2020), CALDART (2004), DELORS (1996), GADOTTI (1994), among others. The results show that the managing team seeks to perform actions, during the year, so that the families participate in the school routine of their children, but it was evidenced that some families do not participate as they should. It was proven that the Parent-Teacher Council and the School Council are very participative. At the end of the research, some suggestions for actions to be developed at the school were mentioned. ; Esta pesquisa teve por finalidade analisar o Projeto Político Pedagógico da Escola do Campo Coronel Chananeco, localizada no 2º distrito da cidade de São Sepé.
