    • نبذة مختصرة :
THE formation of glycosides and gentiobiosides after adding phenols or other substances to whole plant tissues has been observed by several workers1-3. Extracts of Vicia faba were reported by Miwa et al. 4 to form glucosides from vanillin, salicylaldehyde and hydroquinone. Tabone5 prepared a partially purified enzyme from lentils which on addition of uridine diphosphate glucose and anthranilic acid formed a compound in which the carboxyl group of anthranilic acid was joined to a β-glucosyl residue. © 1958 Nature Publishing Group.
