نبذة مختصرة : Communicative practices in Indigenous peoples, such as oral speech, rituals, and forms of social organization, are fundamental for preserving their identity, knowledge, and way of life. Therefore, this research addresses the development of communicative practices in Chimborazo from a case study. Through the main objective of this work, which is to understand how communicative practices work, the different modes of communication are rescued and strengthened from an intercultural perspective, but also a human rights perspective, thus finding more relevant and sustainable solutions to address the social and economic challenges faced by Indigenous communities. To support the research, information from classical authors and current data have been used to address the issues presented from different angles. The methodology is based on qualitative and quantitative approaches with their respective research techniques. Starting with the bibliographic review, a case study focused on an Intercultural Communication Collective in the province of Chimborazo. The methods used were semistructured interviews, retrospective observation, the realization of a focus group with province leaders, and content analysis. After a thorough analysis of the data, it is clear that radio remains the primary means of communication in rural areas. The communities have identified reliable channels to communicate their needs and stay informed. However, economic disparities continue to create challenges for the members of these communities.
