نبذة مختصرة : La institucionalización como medida de restablecimiento de derechos de niños en condición de vulnerabilidad ha sido objeto de investigación en diferentes estudios. En ellos se evalúan y exponen características de estas instituciones, en particular en lo relativo a los efectos de este contexto en el desarrollo y comportamiento de los niños. Sin embargo, la literatura que existe en cuanto a las dinámicas que se manejan en ambientes institucionales, características de las principales figuras de cuidado de los niños y de las relaciones niño-cuidador, es limitada. A través del presente texto se pretende explorar las percepciones de los cuidadores sobre las necesidades psicosociales de los niños y sobre su rol en estas instituciones, como aspectos fundamentales en el flujo de las interacciones que se desarrollan en estas instituciones. Para ello, se entrevistaron 8 miembros del personal de cuidado de una institución de cuidado de niños en Colombia.
