Philippine Disability Sector Research: An Initial Analysis of Access to Social and Public Services, Education, Work and Employment, and Civic Participation and Governance

The study attempted to provide a broad overview of the experiences of persons with disabilities across key areas, specifically, the rights of persons with disabilities, the barriers that individuals encounter, and the response of duty-bearers to these barriers. It aimed to ensure that persons with disabilities are fully represented and heard in the data collection, analysis, and final report. The principle of nothing for us, without us1 is enshrined in all aspects of the methodology guaranteeing that representative voices of persons with disabilities are reflected in design, analysis, and reporting.
