      University extension, as a means of communication, has emerged as a fruitful possibility for the training of engaged, sensitive, and transformative teachers. From this perspective, the extension course "Literacies and Human Rights - Decolonial Practices in the School" was offered during the second semester of 2022 to about 50 basic education teachers. The objective of this research is to analyze the statements produced by a participant of this course regarding teacher training, linguistic education, and decoloniality in the classroom. The specific objectives are: i) to select and analyze statements produced by a teacher, constructing intelligibilities with decolonial studies, literacies, human rights, and teacher training in learning communities; ii) to use the studied statements and the reflections produced from them to strengthen an extension practice aimed at social transformation; iii) to identify clues in the selected statements for engaged and critical teacher training and practice. Thus, we aim to create intelligibilities on the presented themes, mobilizing assumptions from Applied Linguistics and understanding language as a human social activity, in which statements are produced for interaction and present a political stance. As a methodology, ethnographic principles are used, as these have proven to be an important methodological path for studying formative processes. For this purpose, three excerpts of statements produced by a teacher in continuous training are selected, in which it was possible to identify interlocutions with the themes discussed in this work, thus reinforcing university extension as a space for dialogue, allowing it to transform the subjects involved and, consequently, the university. ; A extensão universitária, como uma comunicação de saberes, tem se desenhado como uma frutífera possibilidade para a formação de professores engajados, sensíveis e transformadores.
