      Research problem – Parents' physical activity and attitudes towards physical education at school forms the primary school-age children‘s behavior. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the relationship between parents and children's physical activity and parents' attitudes towards physical education at school and the significance of their children's physical activity. The object of the research is the significance of parents' physical activity and attitude to physical education at school for the physical activity of primary school students. Aim of the study: To assess whether parents' physical activity and attitudes toward physical education at school have a bearing on their children's physical activity. Research tasks: 1) Assess parents' physical activity; 2) To assess the physical activity of primary school students; 3) Evaluate parents' attitudes towards physical education at school; 4) To determine the relationship between parents' attitudes towards physical education at school and the physical activity of them and their children. Research methods: 1. Systematic analysis of scientific literature; 2. Questionnaire; 3. Statistical analysis. Conclusions: 1. The majority of primary school parents were physically active, but even a third of parents were physically inadequate. 2. One third of all children studied were physically inactive. Physical activity did not differ between boys and girls. 3. Parents with higher education respond more favorably to physical education at school. There was no difference between men's and women's attitudes towards physical education at school. Parents ’age also had no bearing on attitudes toward physical education at school. 4. An inverse relationship was established between parents and children 's physical activity and attitudes towards physical education at school. Parents with children who are older and more physically active have a less favorable attitude towards physical education at school.
