Stroke is increasingly important as one of the health problems in Indonesia. Data from the United States showed that incidence of stroke is about 500.000 per year, where as the prevalence is about 800 per 10.000 people. Although many patients can be saved from fatality, many of them have inability and consequently a low quality of life. Generaly this event may affect the work opportunity and need the high cost care. Some efforts both to prevent and cure the ischemic stroke patients have been done. But until nowadays the result was not satisfied. More studies and investigations are needed to prevent and manage the ischemic stroke patients better.
