      The objective was to design a pedagogical proposal of didactic sequences to improve the comprehension of narrative texts in fourth-grade students at José Antonio Galán School, located in Cereté, Córdoba, Colombia. The study, pre-experimental in nature with a quantitative approach, utilized a pre-test and post-test design with a single group. A diagnostic test was administered to 18 students to assess their comprehension of narrative texts, focusing on the skills of identifying main ideas, making inferences, and contextualization, using the Gaytán et al. (2021) Questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel 2013. The results showed that students achieved 50% accuracy in identifying main ideas, 56% in making inferences, and 57% in contextualization, with an overall average of 53% across the three skills, highlighting significant difficulties. To address these shortcomings, a proposal with 10 didactic sequences was presented, and it is suggested that the effects be evaluated using a rubric designed by the research unit. It is concluded that the design of these sequences significantly contributes to the development of narrative text comprehension, offering a tool that is accessible, understandable, and easy to evaluate. ; El objetivo fue diseñar una propuesta pedagógica de secuencias didácticas para mejorar la comprensión de textos narrativos en cuarto grado de primaria en la Institución Educativa José Antonio Galán, de Cereté, Córdoba, Colombia.
