Writing and University Students ; La escritura y los universitarios ; A escrita e os universitários

The article reports on the exploratory-descriptive investigation carried out to explain the writing behavior of the students of the Universidad Colegio Mayor of Cundinamarca. To this effect, it refers to the results of the project that are based on the state of the art of writing in higher education; it is supported by various conceptualizations about its technique throughout time, orality and writing at the University, the act of writing, and references about specific didactics. Furthermore, the article proposes theoretical approaches concerned with the process of writing, such as constructivism, meaningful learning, metacognition, social practices of language and new writing tendencies in information media. Through all this, the article present a profile of the University students on the level of writing and it evaluates their editing skills and the level of writing productiveness. This allows offering an academic proposal with possible guidelines for the institution to strengthen writing ability in their students. ; El artículo da cuenta de la investigación exploratoria-descriptiva referida a volver tangible el comportamiento escritural de los estudiantes de la Universidad Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca. Para esto, se hace alusión a los resultados del proyecto que parten de un estado del arte de la escritura a nivel de educación superior, se sustenta con algunas conceptualizaciones sobre su técnica a lo largo del tiempo, la oralidad y la escritura en la universidad, el acto de escribir y referencias sobre didácticas específicas. De igual manera, plantea enfoques teóricos que conciernen al proceso de la escritura, como el constructivismo, el aprendizaje significativo, la metacognición, las prácticas sociales de la lengua y a las nuevas tendencias de la escritura en medios informáticos, denominadas literacidad.
