نبذة مختصرة : Starting from three theoretical approaches (knowledge networks, social capital and innovation systems), this article discusses how build networks of knowledge in the aquaculture of northwest Mexico. The research adopted a methodology based on a case study that combined documentary sources and empirical research, based on 28 in-depth interviews and 72 questionnaires semi structured applied to MSMES aquaculture. It is concluded that while in this region there is a set of institutional capacities in the aquaculture sector, we need to strengthen further the interactions and the exchange of knowledge between aquaculture producers, academia and government in order to strengthen the social capital of knowledge need to enhance regional and local development. ; Partiendo de tres enfoques teóricos (redes de conocimiento, capital social y sistemas de innovación), el artículo analiza la forma como se construyen redes de conocimientos en la acuicultura del Noroeste de México. La investigación adoptó una metodología basada en un estudio de caso que combinó fuentes documentales e investigación empírica, sustentada en 28 entrevistas en profundidad y 72 cuestionarios semi estructurados aplicados a MIPYMES acuícolas. Se concluye que si bien en esta región existe un conjunto de capacidades institucionales en el sector de la acuicultura, hace falta intensificar aún más las interacciones y el intercambio de conocimientos entre productores acuícolas, la academia y el gobierno, a fin de fortalecer el capital social de conocimiento necesario para potenciar el desarrollo regional y local.
