نبذة مختصرة : Artigo (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Tecnologia, Curso de Especialização em Mídias na Educação, EaD, RS, 2017. ; This work aims to understand how the Special Education program is known as the Resource Room and its role in the process of inclusion of students with disabilities / special educational needs in the common teaching, as these rooms have as main objective to offer AEE in order to contribute to the appropriation of the scientific knowledge of these students and, in this way, contribute to their educational and social inclusion process. When it is used by a student with a disability and aims to break down sensory, motor or cognitive barriers that limit / impede their access to information or limit / impede registration and expression of knowledge acquired by him; When they favor their access and active and autonomous participation in pedagogical projects; When they allow the manipulation of objects of study; When we realized that without this technological resource the active participation of the student in the learning challenge would be restricted or non-existent. Examples of AT in the educational context are differentiated mouse, virtual keyboards with scans and triggers, alternative communication software, text readers, extended texts, Braille texts, texts with symbols, accessible furniture, personal mobility resources, etc. ; Este trabalho visa compreender como se constitui o programa de educação especial denominado Sala de Recursos e seu papel no processo de inclusão de alunos com deficiência/necessidades educacionais especiais no ensino comum. Essas salas têm como principal objetivo oferecer Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE), de forma a contribuir para com a apropriação do conhecimento científico desses alunos e, dessa forma, contribuir para seu processo de inclusão escolar e social.
