O design de superfície na criação de um jogo universal priorizando pessoas com deficiência visual ; The surface design on the creation of a universal game prioritizing people with visual impairment

Monografia (especialização) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Centro de Artes e Letras, Curso de Especialização em Design de Superfície, RS, 2016. ; This work aims to integrate visual impaired people with the environment around them. It was created a game inspired by Super Trunfo, a card game produced by Grow company which is based on statistical information on various subjects. With the support of the Surface Design, drawings with tactile textures and relief were created for the game in order to consider the needs of all players. The expected goal of the outcome of the drawings is that the public may feel haptically the format of Brazilian endangered animals (The theme chosen for the project development), which are represented in the game cards. The aim of working with integration and accessibility came from a concern about the existence of few specific products for people with visual impairment on the market. Throughout the research period, most of the products targeted for the blind that have been found were of individualistic character, a fact which results in lack of interaction between the visual impaired individuals and people who are able to see. For this reason, it was decided to create a game in which everyone could participate, exchanging experiences and developing the playful aspect at the same time. The choice of the Brazilian endangered animals’ theme emerged because this is a point of social interest, since it is rare the opportunity of contact with an endangered animal. In the search for results of integration and accessibility for visual impaired people, it was necessary to study about the Braille system and also about products that assist in the daily life of people with visual impairment. ; Este trabalho tem como objetivo integrar pessoas com deficiência visual ao meio em que elas estão inseridas.
