نبذة مختصرة : This research presents how the functioning of Human Rights applied in the Penitentiary system in the constructions for an education in practice, having as its theme the institute in Law No. and the Remission of the Penalty through Reading. The objective is to verify the conditions of how the penitentiary system develops the educational practices of the inmates, their history and their purposes, with emphasis on the remission of the sentence through the reading that has been implemented in Mato Grosso do Sul, as a resocializing framework. It is also justified because of the advancement of speeches that claim for rights that should be seen as fundamental. To this end, the Penal Execution Law will be addressed, which provides the rules for the execution of the sentence, as well as the institute of redemption. Then, Recommendation No. 44 of the CNJ will be analyzed, which recommends that State Courts encourage the implementation of redemption through reading. The method was deductive, based on bibliographic research. Brazilian prisons currently live in disarray regarding the fundamental rights of the prisoner according to the Federal Constitution of 1988. The Penitentiary System (Sejus) provides data on the actions of the prisoner and his work throughout the State. The right to education in custodial sentences generates in the State the duty to promote the social integration of the condemned. The penalty exerts direct intimacy on the convict in a way that, if measures for social reintegration are adopted, the chances of returning to delinquency are reduced. ; Esta pesquisa apresenta como é o funcionamento dos Direitos Humanos aplicado no sistema Penitenciário nas construções para uma educação na prática, tendo por tema o instituto na Lei n.º 7.210/1984, elegendo-se como objeto de estudo a educação no sistema penitenciário e a Remição da Pena por meio da leitura.
