Where are the Islamists gone ? Have they really “lost the battle "? Have they become so different that they would no longer deserve to be labeled as such ? Several theses converge today to describe them as "on the decline " or even "outmoded". We would have entered the era of the "post-Islamism". As usual in this domain where our discourse on the “other” tells about us as much as it does about him, labels and words have their importance. Who has really evolved? The Islamists or the discourse of those who have made profession to explain them? Do the inventors of the " decline of the Islamist " or of its overtaking by the "post-Islamism" reveal a real in depth evolution of the political reality of the Muslim world or did they only decide to renew the terminology which they used to describe it? The triumphalist and sometimes vengeful writings which announce the “failure” or the “old fashionness” of the islamists show in addition that the emergence of a universal modernity which would not be perceived as the unilateral imposition of a single model is not yet on the agenda of the relationship to our old Moslem alter-ego. Yet it is precisely one of the first conditions for the attenuation of both the islamist reaction and the ethnocentrist Western tendency which has mainly fueled it for over a century. ; Que sont les islamistes devenus ? Ont-ils vraiment « perdu la bataille » ? Se sont-ils réellement transformés au point de ne plus mériter leur nom ? Des thèses convergent aujourd'hui pour les dire « sur le déclin », voire « dépassés ». Nous serions entrés dans l'ère du « post-islamisme ». Comme toujours dans ce domaine où notre discours sur l'autre nous parle tout autant de nous, les étiquettes et les mots ont leur importance. Qui a réellement évolué ? Les islamistes ou le discours de ceux qui ont fait profession d'en parler ? Les tenants du « déclin de l'islamisme » ou de son dépassement par le « post-islamisme » nous révèlent-ils une véritable évolution en profondeur de la réalité politique du monde musulman ou se ...
