      Varikocela je nesporno najčešći uzrok neplodnosti muškaraca. Razmatrani su noviji pogledi i saznanja o uzrocima nastanka varikocele, te o patofiziološkim zbivanjima koja utječu na funkciju testisa i spermiogenezu. Navode se i novije metode liječenja, te njihovi rezultati. Navedeni su rezultati liječenja 208 bolesnika s varikocelom, operiranih metodom Palomo zbog neplodnosti u braku. ; Varicocele is certainly the most frequent cause of male infertility. This paper presents recent views and knowledge on the causes of its genesis and pathophysiological processes affecting testicular function and spermiogenesis, as well as some recent methods of treatment and their results. Also, the results of the treatment of 208 patients with varicocele are stated, operated by Palomo method for marital infertility.
