Social innovation from solidarity economic: case study on the savings accounts in the department of Valle, Honduras ; Innovación social desde la solidaridad económica: estudio de caso sobre las cajas de ahorro en el departamento de Valle, Honduras

Using the Solidarity economy approach, a case of study about some local saving Banks in the municipalities of Nacaome and San Lorenzo, in the Department of Valle, Honduras, is presented. The objective is to identify which actions have been taken and how they were implemented in order to recognize how these initiatives contribute to the Social Innovation within the territory. The identified phases for the creation and consolidation of the saving banks are: creation of groups, training, generation of capital, financial management, reinvestment and growth. The result is that many social benefits in various levels have been promoted within the territory: individual, familiar, communitarian, and entrepreneurship. All of these are related with the strengthening of social capital, the increase of resilience, the creation of new sources of employment, the promotion of gender equality, the impulse of collaboration network among different projects, the reduction of dependence towards subsidies, and the generation of more conducive conditions for regional governance. ; Teniendo como referente de análisis los planteamientos de la Economía Solidaria, se presenta el caso de algunas cajas de ahorro ubicadas en los municipios de Nacaome y San Lorenzo, dentro del Departamento de Valle, Honduras. La intención es identificar qué tipo de acciones se realizaron y cómo fue que éstas fueron impulsadas, a fin de reconocer la forma en que este tipo de iniciativas está contribuyendo a la Innovación Social dentro del territorio. Las fases identificadas para la creación y consolidación de las cajas son: formación de grupos, capacitación, generación de capital financiero, manejo financiero, reinversión y ampliación. El resultado fue que se lograron beneficios sociales en el territorio a nivel personal, familiar, comunitario y empresarial.
