La transformació digital de les administracions públiques, des de la presa de decisions basades en dades fins a la incorporació ètica i sostenible de la intel·ligència artificial

This research work, done between March and June 2023, describes how different types of public administrations are approaching the challenge of their digital transformation, understood as a process of continuous change of the organization, with the advanced technologies as a substrate, with an impact on its processes, generating new ways of providing services to citizens, with research and innovation as catalysts and specializing the public servant's workforce. The easy access to artificial intelligence algorithms (AI) is opening a very wide window of opportunities that could allow public administrations to rapidly increase their level of digital maturity, making an intelligent use of their data and proactively using advanced analytics for decision-making, anticipating situations, optimizing their internal management and offering better services to citizens. Through surveys and interviews conducted with relevant people from the public, academic, research and business spheres, different use cases and pilot tests developed in administrations using AI algorithms have been collected, describing the main challenges and difficulties encountered and how they are being addressed.
