نبذة مختصرة : Ez-Zeccâcî (ö. 337/948) h. IV. asırda Abbâsî devletinin ikinci dönemi sayılan bir dönemde yaşamıştır. Bu dönem, ilme, sanata değer verilen, birçok kıymetli âlimin yetiştiği ve kıymetli eserlerin yazıldığı parlak bir dönemdir. ez-Zeccâcî, Gramer, morfoloji ve edebiyat alanlarında çok sayıda kitap yazmıştır. el-Îḍâḫ, ez-Zeccâcî'nin ilk kaleme aldığı eserlerdendir. Nahiv illetlerini teorik olarak ele alan kitaplardan günümüze ulaşan en eski eserdir. el-Îḍâḫ, aynı zamanda nahivciler ve nahiv ekolleri arasındaki tartışma ve sebeplerini inceleme konusunda yazılan ilk kitap olarak kabul edilir. Bu eser okuyucuya nahiv konularının illetlerini, illetlerinin târihî seyrini ve gelişimini îzâh eder. Bununla birlikte Nahiv ekollerinin bu konudaki görüşlerine de değinir. Al-Îḍâḫ is also regarded as the first book to examine the controversies and causes between nahivists and nahiv schools. This work reveals to the reader the ills of the nahiv subjects, the historical course and development of the ills. It also refers to the views of Nahiv schools on this subject. It also reveals the relation between nahiv history and fijh.
