Příprava a charakterizace mezofáze z černouhelné smoly

Mesophase pitch is widely used for the preparation of carbonaceous materials of high density and strength, adsorbents, catalysts, as well as in production of electrodes. The most widespread source of mesophase are basically coal tar pitch and petroleum pitch. The paper is dedicated to the preparation of coal tar mesophase pitch and assessment of its properties using thermal analysis in combination with the method of optical microscopy and infrared spectroscopy.
