      This article aims to discuss possibilities of articulating mathematics teaching with quilombola school education, considering aspects of ethnic-racial relations, and the critical perspectives of mathematics and statistics education for social justice. The text addresses a qualitative study that is part of the results of a doctoral research project, under development, carried out in a quilombola school located in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco. An analysis of the municipal curriculum proposal was done, with an emphasis on mathematics teaching, and the responses of teachers who participated in a questionnaire. Documentary analysis revealed that there are themes, objects of knowledge and skills with the potential for valuing the culture of the quilombola community in the curriculum. However, the teachers' answers indicated an absence of activities allowing children to possess a critical understanding of their sociocultural context. In addition to this, it was identified that teachers did not have access to continued education on quilombola school education. Based on the data emerging from the analyses, we discussed the feasibility of a proposal for mathematics and statistics education aimed at a critical reading of the context with active participation of the students, in convergence with Law nº 10.639/2003 and the National Curriculum Guidelines for Quilombola School Education. ; Este artigo objetiva discutir possibilidades de articulação do ensino de matemática com a educação escolar quilombola, considerando aspectos das relações étnico-raciais e perspectivas críticas da educação matemática e estatística para a justiça social.
