Possibilidades para o turismo criativo em Varginha (MG) na perspectiva do desenvolvimento local e regional

The municipality is part of the "Encantos de Minas" region. Therefore, the overall objective is to identify the local potentials of Varginha (MG) to become a creative tourist destination in the context of public management and regional development. The research is exploratory, descriptive and qualitative in nature. It was conducted in two stages: (1) Literature review to address key concepts such as tourism, development, culture, creative economy, creative city and creative tourism through consultation of books, articles, thesis and reports. (2) Use of QGIS 3.8 Zanzibar software to collect and organize data for spatial analysis .The results show that Varginha is the most developed municipality in terms of categorization compared to the other twelve in this tourist region. Thus, the relationship between cultural heritage and the history of the city can contribute not only to local but also to regional development, with creative tourism as a distinguishing factor. Furthermore, the findings brought to light the importance of valuing cultural and historical heritage, considering that a significant portion of the heritage - immovable assets (n=14) - are related to the creative sectors and areas identified at the local level. ; Este artigo enfoca uma série de possibilidades para o turismo criativo em Varginha no Sul Minas Gerais (MG) considerando as perspectivas do desenvolvimento regional, sendo que o município está na Região Encantos de Minas.
