      The purpose of this study is to analyze the use and appropriation of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the teachinglearning process in High School, within theses and dissertations in Education of Brazil, based on the exploration of its access and within the pedagogical universe of teaching. In addition, the selection and cut of some works related to ICTs from the last five years was prioritized. Since these technologies have revolutionized the traditional teaching methods, by offering new possibilities and options to increase knowledge, becoming an indispensable tool in all aspects related to the subject in focus. Information and communication technologies bring new possibilities and multiply the ways of acquiring knowledge, providing improvements in the quality of teaching, at any level. In a comprehensive way, it is possible to infer that, in this new teaching scenario, ICT can transform any environment into a knowledge space, provided that the necessary physical means and access to the internet are available. Notwithstanding these advances, there is still a slow progress in many public schools regarding the implementation, adaptation and use of these new technologies, regarding their use in the teaching-learning process. Methodologically, it is a descriptive research of a qualitative nature, based on bibliographical research, for the construction of the corpus, and content analysis, from the perspective of Bardin and Franco, to understand the contributions of the use of information and communication technologies ( ICT) in High School, registered in the scientific production in education in Brazil. Based on the content analysis of the corpus of the research, it is concluded that the theses and dissertations and work of conclusion of the course about the use of ICT in the teaching-learning process in high school, present in the analyzed scientific production, are relevant for rethink the use of ICT.
