      The monographic work has as its theme the assessment of children's learning in Early Childhood Education. To evaluate in Early Childhood Education, it is essential to consider the process, that is, all stages and not set a day for it to occur. The course of the work was composed by carrying out a literature review based on authors and specialists in evaluation in Early Childhood Education. The main scholars consulted were: Amanda Cristina Teagno Lopes (2003), Maria Carmem Silveira Barbosa (2008), Hilda Micarello (2010) and Maria Clotilde Rossetti- Ferreira (2011). Based on the theoretical propositions of these scholars on the subject addressed, we sought to establish a dialogue in order to know and understand more about the assessment of children's learning, focusing on Early Childhood Education. This monographic study also aims to present concepts, principles and types of assessment in Early Childhood Education, in addition to addressing the instruments that can be used to assess children in Early Childhood Education, having, for example: the portfolio, observation, records, among others. . It is concluded that it is extremely important that the teacher reflects his pedagogical practice throughout the evaluation process, contributing significantly to the development and learning of children. ; O trabalho monográfico tem como tema a avaliação da aprendizagem da criança na Educação Infantil. Para avaliar na Educação Infantil é fundamental considerar o processo, ou seja, todas as etapas e não delimitar um dia para que a mesma ocorra. O percurso do trabalho foi composto pela realização de uma revisão de literatura com base em autores e especialistas em avaliação na Educação Infantil.
