Gente da fronteira : família, sociedade e poder no sul da América Portuguesa - século XVIII

Essa investigação procurou estudar as estratégias familiares, políticas e de afirmação social da elite local residente no sul da América portuguesa ao longo do século XVIII, em particular na vila de Laguna e na região dos Campos de Viamão. O funcionamento desta sociedade foi pensado a partir das estratégias familiares e das redes de sociabilidades que lhe conferiam sentido. Assim, desenvolvi uma perspectiva que permitiu reconhecer a importância do parentesco para as estratégias de reprodução das elites locais. ; This investigation searched to study the familiar, political and social strategies of the local élite who lived during the eighteenth century in the southern part of Portuguese America, focusing the vila (town) of Laguna and the region of Campos de Viamão. The operation of this society was thought taking into account the familiar strategies and sociability networks that gave them meaning. In such a manner, I developed an outlook that recognized the importance of kinship for the reproduction strategies of the local elites.
