Based on the observation that there is a unbalance between training and employment in the equine sector, which is perceived differently by different parties (employers, employees, trainers), the IFCE has started a broader understanding of the social, economic and training logics involved in the production of this situation. This thesis is part of a project to understand the characteristics of the careers of workers in the sector, whose branches are currently undergoing a process of reorganisation and which are experiencing quantitative difficulties (number of job offers greater than the number of candidates) and qualitative difficulties marked by an unbalance between the skills expected by employers and the profiles of the young people trained. From a sociological point of view, the notion of career is broadly understood.
