نبذة مختصرة : The aim of this study is that to be evaulated the effect of tideglusib and bone graft mixture on the bone healing. Tideglusib is a drug which is used for some neurological disases such as alzheimer. According to the condected literature rewiev tideglusib's positive impact on dentin tissue has been found. At this study it's been indicated that tideglusib fulfills this effect via various mechanisms and Wnt-ß catenin pathway is one of them these mechanisms. Dentin and bone tissue have similar structure and healing mechanism. For this reason, we think that tideglusib may effect bone metabolism like this. In the dentistry, bone graft materials are used for accelerate the soft and hard tissue healing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, implant surgery, periodontal surgery and other areas. Graft materials are divided into four categories according to sources; autologous, allogenic, xenogenic, alloplastic. There are several advantages and disadvantages of these materials For this reason, researchers are focused the alternative biomaterials and applications. Our study consist of five groups; one of control and four of test. 40 Wistar albino rats used in this study. Under the general anesthesia, bone defects which were 5mm in diameter applied the mandibula of each rats. In this study, groups were created as follows; Group 1: Control (Defects were empty), group 2: Xenogreft were applied the defect area, group 3: Xenogreft and tideglusib were applied defect area, group 4: Autogenous graft were applied defect area, group 5: Autogenous graft and tideglusib were applied defect area. Rats were sacrified in 28 day after operation. New bone formed of the samples were analyzed by histomorphometrically and immunohistochemically. According to the our study's results, tideglusib and greft mixture enhanced new bone formation and bone regeneration.
