نبذة مختصرة : This master's thesis deals with a research carried out with high school students, from a state public school, in an exploratory study and during the development of didactic interventions in a Case Study treated in Chemistry classes. The work refers to the contextualization of school chemistry knowledge to the theme food / food, relating the eating habits, health and ways of life of young students who attend school. The methodological proposal of the research, of qualitative nature, is based on assumptions of the participant research with analytical process of the data through Content Analysis. As stages of the research, initially, a review was carried out in the annals of the websites of the EDEQ Chemistry event (2012-2018) and of the QNEsc magazine (2008-2019), in order to know what has been researched and developed on the theme “Food in the teaching Chemistry ”and“ Case Study as teaching strategy ”. Concomitantly to this, a survey was carried out with 40 students from the 1st year of the school, seeking to know how they deal with food and the role of food in their daily lives. Based on the students' responses through a questionnaire, a Case Study on the theme Food was prepared and developed with 45 students from the 3rd year of high school. The analysis corpus consists of records of activities performed by students, records of the researcher teacher in Logbook, and records of students in their Case Diaries. Research carried out with young people from the 1st year of school showed that they talk about food as a necessity, but also as pleasure and a reason for leisure, in addition, they associate food with practices aimed at body care and health. . As for the chemical content, they indicated interest in the theme food / food in chemistry classes, making it possible to articulate the contents of the discipline on macronutrients to the theme, in a teaching proposal based on a Case Study. The results of the research indicate that the use of Case Studies, as a teaching strategy, made it possible to motivate students ...
